Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's seven schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across five municipalities – Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is located in Järpen, the main locality in Åre municipality. Our school has students from all over Sweden and the rest of the world, providing a wonderful mix of people and cultures. Åre municipality also offers fantastic opportunities for a rich outdoor life for those who appreciate activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, or biking.

Description

We are looking for teachers in the subjects of chemistry, natural science, and German.

You do not need to teach all subjects – each position is focused on one or more subjects depending on qualifications. There is also the possibility to combine the position with other subjects based on your expertise and the school's needs.

Your Future Responsibilities

You will teach in one of the subjects: chemistry, natural science, or German. If you have qualifications in additional subjects, it is an advantage and may provide an opportunity for a higher working degree. You will become part of the team for the university preparatory programs at Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre, and mentoring students is a natural part of the assignment.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a certified upper secondary school teacher who has a good understanding of how learning occurs. You have a strong commitment to both teaching and relationship-building, and you want to develop together with students and colleagues.

You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, school management, students, and guardians, and you are confident in the pedagogical assignment. Documentation, assessment, and IT tools are a natural part of your working method, and you use them in a way that supports students' learning and the school's development.
